Cemix Masonry Mortar Mix is a mortar used in civil, commercial, industrial and residential applications. It is a mixture of sands, Portland cement and admixtures.

TYPICAL USES:

ADVANTAGES:

COVERAGE:

Approximate coverage per bag:

- 30kg bag: 30 bricks & 24 blocks

STANDARDS:

Complies with NZS 4210:1989

PREPARATION:

Ensure the bricks and blocks are relatively dry.

MIXING:

1. Empty the bag contents into a wheelbarrow or mixer.

2. Gradually add the prescribed water, mixing thoroughly until a

smooth mix is achieved. Do not over mix.

Bag contents to water ratio:

- 20kg: 3L to 3.3L

- 30kg: 4.5L to 4.95L

APPLICATION:

Place a layer of 15mm to 20mm of mix between the layers of

bricks or blocks.

Note: The joint gaps are usually 10mm to 15mm. Pointing is

easier after the mortar has initially set.

DRYING & CURING:

Drying time depends on the climate. In general, allow for a minimum of 24 hours at 20°C.
